4-H BEEF SHOW
Show Time Monday, October 13, 2008 at 9:00 AM.
Purebred steers, crossbreeds and dairy-beef need not be registered. All other breeding stock must be registered. Bred and owned classes must be registered in 4-Hers name, not farm or 2 separate individuals. Registration of Calves: In the case of calves under 4 months whose registration has not been received, the registration numbers of sire and dam must be listed on entry blank and exhibit approval sheet and a copy of application for registry be available. Rules and regulations of the 4-H Livestock department will be followed.
Showing methods as well as conditioning and fitting of animals to count in the Fitting and Showing Classes. This class will precede the type classes and will begin at 9 AM. Registration deadline: September 15, 2008.
Beef Fitting & Showing— Div. 144 - Novice, Div. 145 - Juniors, Div. 146 - Seniors
Premiums: Grade A, $15.00; Grade B, $10.00; Grade C, $5.00.
Div. 147-170 Premiums: Grade A, $12.00; Grade B, $8.00; Grade C, $6.00.
Div. 147 - Junior Bull Calf - born on or after January 1, 2008-May 1, 2008
Div. 148 - Senior Bull Calf - born on or after July 1, 2007 and before Dec 31, 2007
Div. 149 - Junior Heifer Calf - born on or after January 1, 2008 and before May 1, 2008.
Div. 150 - Senior Heifer Calf - born on or after July 1, 2007 and before Jan. 1, 2008
Div. 151 - Junior Yearling Heifer - born on or after January 1, 2007- June 30, 2007.

Div. 152 - Senior Yearling Heifer - born on or after July 1, 2006 and before Dec 31, 2006.
Div. 153 - Two Year Old Heifer - born on or after July 1, 2005 and before June 30, 2006.
Div. 154 - Three Year Old or older Cow - born before July 1, 2005.
Div. 155 - Commercial steer or heifer or market ready steer or heifer, not previously shown in Div 151.
Div. 156 - Feeder Steer or Heifer - born on or after July 1, 2006 and before May 1, 2008.

Div. 240- Cow calf— cow with suckling calf, still nursing at side (calf must be at least three months old and have received
rabies vaccine at least thirty days before the fair)
Div. 241- Produce of Dam, bred and owned by exhibitor. Two animals any age and either sex, the produce of 1 cow.
Div. 242- Pair of Calves, bred and owned by exhibitor. 1 bull from Div 147 or 148 and 1 heifer from Div 149 or 150.
Div. 243- Pair of Heifers, bred and owned by exhibitor. Entries from div 149, 150, 151, 152,153. Cannot be a two year old with calf at side. Female with calf at side termed cow and no longer a heifer.
